The National Office of Railways (ONCF) is continuing to implement its development plan and has launched a call for competition for the acquisition of new trains.

On Wednesday March 11th 2020 in Rabat, Mr  Mohamed Rabie KHLIE, Director General of the National Office of Railways, and Mr  Khalid HMAMOUCH, President of the Moroccan Customs Association, signed a partnership agreement to strengthen the offer of rail services for the benefit of members of the Moroccan Customs Association members.

ONCF quick starts the year 2020 with double-digit traffic growth in comparison with 2019. This traffic growth was generated by its main-line train ranges during the month of January. Building on a performance increase that has reached + 41% for AL BORAQ and + 24% for AL ATLAS, the Office is developing complementary high added-value services to the train, to offer its customers a range of services for the purpose of improving their mobility.

Upon the 2020 winter school holidays, the National Office of Railways (ONCF) adopted a "Holiday Special" transport plan from Friday 17th until Monday 27th of January 2020. The plan aims to guarantee customers travel with the greatest comfort and under the best conditions of safety. To do so, ONCF has taken multiple steps, for instance: enhancing train-service offerings; reinforcing and mobilising reception, assistance and information teams, both in stations and on trains; diversifying sales channels; etc. 

ONCF organised on Friday January 17^Th 2019, at the Rabat Agdal station, the award ceremony for the winners of the competition launched in December 2019 to celebrate the first anniversary of the high-speed train 'Al Boraq '.
