ONCF closely follows the changing needs in phosphate transport of the OCP Group.
Indeed, in the framework of development of strategy geared to international activities, the Group has engaged in long-lasting partnerships with its main customers (India, Brazil, Pakistan) which should strongly boost the development of its activity.
These partnerships have seen the setting up of a joint venture for fertilizers and phosphoric acid at Jorf Lasfar, which will lead to a high increase in the consumption of phosphates.
To remain on a footing for respecting its commitments, ONCF has developed flexible transport capable of rapidly adapting to the pace of demand and several other projects have been completed or are in the process of implementation, i.e.:
- Double-track of the railway between Nouasser and Jorf Lasfar,
- Strengthening of the equipment pool through the acquisition of 340 new phosphate cars.
- Acquisition of 21 phosphoric acid transport tanks.
