At 85 million Dirhams per unit, the 24 self propelled trains have just upgraded the total number of units by 40% thereby accommodating the growing flow of passenger traffic on the national network in general and the Casablanca – Rabat line in particular.
This means capacity, comfort and equipment for all needs.
Consisting of 4 cars, a double decker train has 376 seats. Multiple units (2 or 3 connected trains), this capacity can be increased twofold or even threefold without changing the technical performance of the train, so indispensable for meeting required during times of peak traffic.
In each train, there is 1 class with 50 seats, a bar fitted out for fast food and up-to-date retention type lavatory in each of the 4 passenger cars.
Each place has a comfortable seat with headrest and armrest, a fold back tray, footrest and magazine holder.

Reliability and front-running technology
Designed for trains running at 160 km/hr with speed peaks of 180 km/hr, the new double decker trains include the very latest technological advances with regard to security and operations in the form of on board computer technology, system redundancy for control and security.
The conductor's cabin is designed and fitted out to enable easy and flexible conducting of the train enabling quick adaptation to the environment, speed regulation, control and measurements instruments, easy driving and acceleration after stops in stations, programmed assistance in the event of breakdown.
The train is made of light aluminum alloy making it possible to save on energy and ensure better impact resistance.
Attractive transport offering
By being totally substituted for the conventional stock on the Casablanca – Rabat line, the double decker train constitute ONCF's answer to the expectations of millions of passengers sued to the TNR.
ONCF goes even further by soon proposing a new services for Casa Port – Rabat Ville in only 52 minutes! Another sizeable innovation: the Casablanca – Fez line now enjoys the dual benefits of the two-track line and double decker trains for express connection taking only 3 hours and 20 min. for the trip between the two towns, as opposed to the 4 hours and 30 minutes formerly. Currently this service is partially operational (1 round trip). It will be generalized progressively as the remainder of the series arrives bringing the rhythm of departures between Casablanca and Fez to one hour (1 express train followed by 1 local train).
